Kuma’s Corner huh? Who is this Kuma and why is it her corner you ask? Well it’s rude to ask questions. So keep your mouth shut, sit down, and listen to a tale that starts a long time ago in the ancient land of Sholin…

Kuma is a wise and very powerful sorcerer, hundred times that pansy Potter. Any major event that has ever happened in the world since the dawn of time, she has had her hand in. Fire to Neanderthals, Great Pyramids (of all continents), first civilization in the Americas (known now as Native Americans, then as Kumathelians), Introduction of the Aesir and Vanir to all peoples, and the list goes on and on.

While wandering across the desert plain of Shiquageekikinn, Kuma came across a man asking for help for his town. He told a story when once they were a global power and there was peace until a new ruler took the throne and turned to a tyrannical rule. Killing off neighboring trade states for wealth of his own and starving his own people. This man must be ended vowed Kuma.

Kuma set up a shop in the run down area of the market place to keep attention away whilst she conjured to destroy the tyrant. But within a year Her market had become the most popular place to in all of Sholin, and the dark corner now became better to live. Now the Tyrant took notice of this. And decided to pay a visit to collect his greed and lay down fear.

Kuma would not have this. The tyrant sent in his armies to capture and kill the sorcerer. She raised an ancient relic to the sky and summoned the armies of the world to take up steel against the evil. Twelve days and thirteen nights the battle raged on until it was just The Sorcerer and The Tyrant. Face to face and blood stained.

As the Tyrant’s eyes flickered red and hooks spewed forth from his hands and horns from his ears, Kuma now knew her opponent. As the Tyrant reeled to strike, Kuma reacted. With a flash of insight and the knowledge of the world, Kuma used the last of her powers to transform into an Akita. Lunging at her foe, she took a chunk from his steel clad neck. The bite was so strong and deep it tore out the tyrants spine, with the brain still attached.

Kuma stayed with the mortals long enough to watch the tyrant bleed out all of his blood and melt into ash. Falling into the deepest of all deep sleeps, She promised the world she would come again to add in the battle of any Tyrant or force that threaten her people that she has cared for and helped.

We have embodied the practice of this battle and will continue to reenact it day in day out for that Kuma, who is watching us with Freyr, Skadli, and all the Aesir and Vanir alike, that she may smile and continue to hold her faithful human subjects in delight. For one day when we are to encounter a force more powerful than the world has seen, she will guide the true light and give us the gift of true wisdom and insight.

Hail to thee o’ Kuma! Hail! Hail!
